Aimee van Wynsberghe
Aimee van Wynsberghe is Assistant Professor in Ethics of Technology at the University of Delft and is President of the Foundation for Responsible Robotics. Aimee works at bridging the gap between ethics and the research and design of: healthcare robots, service robots, humanitarian robots, environmental robots, and sex robots. She is author of the book “Healthcare Robots: Ethics, Design, and Implementation” and has been named one of the Netherlands top 400 influential women under 38 by VIVA.
In 2015 Aimee was awarded an NWO personal research grant to study how we can responsibly design service robots. In 2017 Aimee was named one of the 25 ‘women in robotics you need to know about’. She serves as ethics adviser for multiple Horizon2020 projects and has been interviewed by BBC, Quartz, Financial Times, and other International news media on the topic of ethics and robots.
