"We don't need to own the hardware"

So says Brian Moynihan, Bank of America CEO per a piece from Reuters. And with that statement, those whom are too big to fail reach a final phase for the home of their (your) data. 

From 200K to 70K. From 67 to 23.

BofA had already scaled down from over 200K servers to 70K servers. They had gone from 67 data centers to 23 data centers. And now for the final shift.

Safety first

As they migrate, the COTO for Bank of America, Cathy Bessant is focused on safety, “By setting a standard that addresses the concern of hosting highly confidential information, we aim to drive the public cloud to a safety level that is unmatched,” said Cathy Bessant, chief operations and technology officer of Bank of America.
