Globally, discussions on AI are coalescing around questions of ethics, of governance and, ultimately, of trust. As the focus on governance as well as practical guidance in the specific areas of deployment increases, standards are likely to be part of the solution, as are adaptable principles-based approaches. In this talk, Jed will bring over will unpack the challenges and the world of standards and AI and how emergent work might be applicable, including that being led through JTC 1/SC42 – a global AI Standards Committee under the mantle of ISO and ISO.
