One of IA Chicago’s Keynote Speakers is Dr Hassan Tetteh. Dr. Tetteh serves as the Health Mission Chief for Warfighter Health at the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) in the Department of Defense (DoD). Dr Tetteh will be speaking on delivering Cognitive Automation capabilities Enterprise-Wide at the JAIC to enable an Artificial Intelligence policy environment through cloud infrastructure. In doing so, his presentation will discuss managing the change of the department’s culture, establishing common IT architecture for decentralized experimentation, and the applications of OCR and predictive models in the data-heavy healthcare system.
Dr Tetteh, is also a Thoracic Surgeon for MedStar Health and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He currently leads a Specialized Thoracic Adapted Recovery Team, and his research aims to save lives by improving heart and lung recovery following thoracic transplantation. Dr Tetteh also served as the Chief Medical Information Officer for the US Navy for over 21 years, ensuring the care of over 350,000 soldiers.
Automation is expected to change the workforce more radically in the next five years than it has in the past twenty. For the Department of Defense, the JAIC’s mission is to bring modern DevSecOps practices to the DoD through an enterprise cloud-enabled AI policy environment. This session will paint a vivid picture of what the JAIC anticipates on the horizon in the next five years and then some.
