Adeel Fudda is the Senior Director of the Automation Center of Enablement at Becton Dickinson (BD), a global leader in medical devices and solutions. He was appointed as the leader of the automation practice in 2016 and oversees all strategy, research, innovation, design, development, operations, and governance efforts.
Partnering with BD business leaders and strategic technology services partners, Adeel has worked to deploy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) at scale to drive process efficiencies, productivity, and cost reduction, as well as enhance end-user experiences. Beyond RPA, Adeel also leads BD’s Cognitive CoE, which is devoted to the scaled deployment of cognitive virtual assistants across various helpdesk domains, as well as BD’s Enterprise Integration CoE, which is responsible for their global API Management Platform, API development portal, and best practices for design and implementation. Together over the last 3 years, over $8M in annual productivity impacts have been driven from these technologies.
Adeel also heads BD’s state-of-the-art innovation lab at their headquarters in NJ, which serves as a central think-tank for researching emerging technologies and designing advanced software solutions to be employed by the program globally.
Adeel joined the medical technology company in 2010, and has held multiple management roles in IT, Preanalytical Systems (PAS) business unit & Integrated Supply Chain function. Prior to this current role, he implemented and managed the global governance model and benefits realization frameworks still used in IT today, partnering with IT Finance to provide strategic oversight for commercial IT agreements.
He also has experience as an Industrial Engineer, leading a number of process optimization and logistics consulting projects for firms in retail, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and steel. Adeel holds a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Rutgers University.
