Lynn Moaney

Lynn Moaney is the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In her role as the Deputy CFO and Acting CFO, she serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary and Senior Officials on all matters related to financial management policies, systems, accounting, internal control, assessment, and training.  The Office of the Chief Financial Officer?s mission is to shape an environment in which USDA officials have and use high quality financial and performance information to implement effective policy, management, stewardship, and program decisions.  Ms. Moaney has over 30 years developing and maintaining financial standards across the Federal Government and a proven record of leading organizational initiatives. Experience includes implementation of financial and administrative systems, budget formulation and execution, acquisitions, audit, risk management, shared services, policy development and financial operations support.  She leads a workforce of over 1300 employees which provides both financial and human resource processing services for USDA and non-USDA government clients.  The only Department to offer multiple shared services.
