John Booth

John began his career as a Management Accountant in the UK, working for Whitbread and Tesco, before becoming a Management Consultant at EY.   With a focus on Finance process and operations optimisation, he moved to Asia over six years ago, working with clients on projects across the region.   He took up his current role, with Fresenius Medical Care as Senior Director AP Business Process Management, at the start of 2017 and is responsible for delivering process harmonisation, effectiveness and efficiency across back office processes for the region.  The cornerstone of this work is the deployment of a set of standard processes and systems to 18 countries, supported by implementing other strategic initiatives including a new travel booking and expense claim process, a comprehensive customer credit policy and driving a Total Quality Management initiative within the regional Shared Service Centre.

As part of the Total Quality Management program within the regional Shared Service Centre, John has championed the use of RPA to increase the efficiency and quality of the processes performed by the operations team.  After gaining support through our Global Shared Service Centre Council to fund a successful Pilot, John now leads a small Centre of Excellence delivering process automation initially focused on Finance operations across the globe.  Therefore he is well placed to share his experience and knowledge of building up RPA operations from nothing into a value adding service across the business.
