Shared Services and Outsourcing week has been running for nearly a quarter of a century. Register now.

The 23rd edition is right around the corner. With over 125 speakers, a tremendous amount of knowledge will be shared. There are a few sessions in particular that caught the AI & Intelligent Automation Network’s eye.

Putting the magic into intelligent automation

In the summer of 1955, Disneyland opened with a copious amount of automatronic characters. The bleeding-edge of technology at the time, these characters interacted with carbon-based life forms to create a whole new world of entertainment. These characters were most notable in the “It’s A Small World” ride.

Fast-forward nearly 65 years to 1:55pm on March 13th in Orlando (the home of Disney World) where Dan Barton from Disney Financial System will provide the latest on Disney Automation. The back of the house is the focus where Barton reveals how the enterprise is leveraging AI to develop Disney’s next reality.

Building, Scaling, Managing Intelligent Automation

The World Bank Group’s Kenny Cheung delivers back-to-back track sessions later that afternoon. At 3:35pm, Kenny dives in on not only building but also scaling up or CoE. As Chief of Procurement, Cheung brings what promises to be valuable insight into ensuring that your outlay for technology and services pay off for your enterprise.

Cheung then dives into the fact that bots do have sick days. Would that it were so simple that you code the bot and everything was forever optimal. You change processes, your talent changes practices and sometimes technology simply doesn’t perform as expected. That’s just the beginning of the list of myriad issues that could affect your enterprise intelligent automation. Cheung brings you through how to manage your way out of crisis when your bot does eventually in fact go down.
